Kiko Pangilinan Should Push For Removing FDI Restrictions RIGHT NOW

It's really something that Kiko Pangilinan blames President Rodrigo R. Duterte for the lack of jobs. It's also something when you consider how Antonio Living La Vina Loca calls constitutional reform as "unilateral surrender" and Jover Laurio shows her outrage regarding the same issue. This should be stupid to criticize any incumbent president WITHOUT giving alternatives. Again, Pangilinan is but a symptom of the parliamentary system. Given enough time, it's not just the Liberal Party but ANY party can eventually go down the drain when personality-based politics is at play.

This is the problem right now with Pangilinan. Is he thinking that he can get away with blaming Duterte for a lack of jobs while he's probably not pushing for FDI restriction removal? If so, he's really not doing his job as the opposition. Then again, presidential opposition is ULOL or stupid because does it even define its function properly? The problem again with the opposition today is that they only criticize but no alternative courses of action. They're finding holes but not talking about how to fix them. Pangilinan himself isn't thinking straight if he doesn't push for the removal of restrictions against foreign investment.

It's not enough to point out to Duterte that jobs are lacking. He should be saying, "Mr. President, we all need to push for the removal of FDI restrictions. Let's push it! Don't wait! Our debt is piling up! We need to pay it back! With FDI we will be able to get the money we need! More Filipinos need work!" That's what he should be doing. It doesn't take rocket political science to understand basic political concepts that you can find researching in the digital age. That's what he should be doing right now - to push reforms to give Filipinos more jobs. It's because the government itself is NOT the job producer but the businesses. Unfortunately, there are too many Filipinos needing jobs and too little Filipino businessmen. That's why foreign investors must be supported to own 100% ownership (that is without the need of a Filipino partner) to help fill in that gap.
