Why President Duterte's Call For Temporary Community Quarantine Is NOT Dictatorial

While I may no longer be a DDS ever since he said the "Stupid G--!" statement but it doesn't mean I'd shoot down anything good he does. President Rodrigo R. Duterte is NOT WRONG in his executive order to lockdown Metro Manila from March 15, 2020 up to April 14, 2020. Was this really a dictatorial act of President Duterte? It's not for the reason that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) was CONSULTED regarding the issue.

Can the lockdown be considered dictatorial? Let's consider the reality of the situation. The COVID-19 is a very infectious disease so temporarily suspending mass gatherings is really practical. Having people gather a lot can help the COVID-19 disease spread even faster. The other one is that cargoes both food and non-food will still get inside and outside Metro Manila. People who are currently under lockdown in Metro Manila (for safety reasons) will have no problem having their necessities met.

Do you know that even the Yellowtard Constitution still supports martial law for CERTAIN cases? When martial law was declared on Mindanao due to the Maute crisis - it was met with the legislative and ONLY Mindanao got affected. I went to Mindanao last 2017 and there hasn't been suspension of TV, Internet, and the like. It was more on military intervention to prevent the Maute from crossing the borders. Otherwise, life went on. Elections last 2019 still went on in spite of the declaration of martial law.

Declaration of some rules such as curfews to minimize the gathering of people might be because people tend to gather too much at night. Having a nightlife is usually counterproductive to one's day job. The only ones who should be allowed to get out at those certain times are those with NIGHT JOBS. Shouldn't people be staying home and resting at night? Hmmm talk about a lack of sleep is BAD for your immune system and many Filipinos are probably that sleep-deprived.

Why must there also be checkpoints with policemen? The SARS epidemic incident also had bioterrorism involved. COVID-19 might be a biological weapon for all we know. Do we want the risk of bioterrorism and never learn from the SARS incident? It's not dictatorial either to put guards who check the bags of shoppers in the malls. Would you want to risk the lives of shoppers because of one shopper who brought in deadly weapons? Also, there aren't enough doctors (thanks a lot protectionism) to do the job so soldiers and policemen lending a helping hand will do. Then again, is it me or would those idiots rather trust the criminals than the cops?

Then again, some people just don't want to follow simple guidelines now, do they? If they don't want to follow it then it's their problem!
