Why Hating Ferdinand E. Marcos While LOVING Mao Zedong Makes ZERO SENSE

Today is the birthday of the late Emperor Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.. It's crazy how Filipino communists keep raising issues about human rights violations while they support BLATANT human rights violators themselves. One of the greatest idols of Filipino communists is none other than Chairman Mao Zedong. Some people even try to defend that Mao allegedly had nothing to do with the disaster of the Great Leap Forward, that it's just "capitalist propaganda". Really? Maybe, it's time to let Chinese citizens speak for themselves huh?

Sure, the Marcos Years atrocities are WELL-RECORDED in the annals of Philippine history. I'm not going to deny that there have been people who were TRULY victims during the Empire of Marcos Sr. People are scared sh*t because the former crown prince, Bobong Marcos, is now the 17th president. There's the right to be scared. Yet, there's also the irony that people who HATE Marcos Sr. and his incompetent son Bobong also LOVE Mao himself.

Some advocates for Communism say that the disaster wasn't Mao's fault. WUT? I wonder if those who insist that the Great Leap Forward was a success have more data to defend it? Can they afford to tell people who are either survivors of the Great Leap Forward (who are still alive) or their descendants? Mao even ordered the shooting of sparrows which was PLAIN STUPID. If Mao's regime was so great then why did A LOT OF ETHNIC CHINESE STOP BEING CHINESE CITIZENS?

Who else would know how was it to live under Mao's regime than those who PASSED THROUGH IT? We have victims of the Empire of Marcos can speak about it. However, why are they ignoring what former Chinese nationals have to say about MAO'S BRUTAL REGIME? Just listening to this short makes me think of the stories of the elderly. The elderly have a lot to share. We can still listen to people who survived Mao's BRUTAL regime and are still around.

Reading the history books abotu Mao is a real chill. Sure, one can't deny that Marcos Sr.'s wicked empire had all its bloody tales. However, not even Marcos Sr. made it into the documentary How to Become a Tyrant on Netflix. Sure, I wish Marcos Sr. was featured there. Instead, Mao deserves a bigger spotlight because if I wanted to become a tyrant - I can learn more from Mao who DIED IN OFFICE unlike Marcos Sr. who got overthrown.
