Joel Nuezca Should No Longer Be Treated As A Policeman But As A CRIMINAL

The recent incident involving Joel Nuezca's shooting incident may have triggered the Philippines' own version of "Black Lives Matter". The death of George Floyd was anything but heroic. Police brutality existed but the solution has NEVER been to defund the police. The moment that Nuezca pulled his trigger, showed his child a bad example, and killed parent and child - he should forfeit his title as a policeman and be demoted to the status of criminal. Any police officer who breaks the law should be apprehended and treated as a criminal. The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) is given its mandate to investigate ALL forms of human rights violations. This is no exception and the CHR should really consider this a huge blot at the failure of a police officer. This is the kind of police officer CHR should raise a flag as a human rights violator. Police officers are supposed to uphold human rights and defend public safety. Unfortunately, Nuezca did neither with what he just did. 

Unfortunately, some people are now trying to use Nuezca's misdeed for their own selfish purposes such as politicizing it. Remember when Floyd died and there was an outrage to "defund the police" over his death? Pasaways even want to say that it's police brutality and not too much freedom that's the problem in the USA. Please, Americans today have TOO MUCH FREEDOM as well which can lead to police brutality. Saying that rallies didn't increase COVID-19 is stupid. Rising cases of COVID-19 is proof pasaways too are to blame. Why the outrage only when Chito Gascon of CHR got his near defunding to PHP 1,000.00 (which was symbolic of Gascon's poor job performance) but request to defund the police? Defunding CHR because of Gascon is wrong. The right thing to do should've been to fire Gascon from his post - not defund CHR for his mistakes. Defunding the Philippine National Police (PNP) because of the misdeed of Nuezca is ALSO WRONG. The problem was NEVER CHR but Gascon's irresponsibility. PNP is no different from CHR - the problem is NOT its existence but the existence of nincompoops in them. 

Those who say that this is a call to trust the criminals instead of the cops need to think about the status of Nuezca. If they would rather trust the criminals than the cops then would they prefer that President Rodrigo R. Duterte promote Nuezca as head of the PNP over the bumbling Debold Sinas? True, Sinas did wrong in accepting the mananita but Nuezca is a CRIMINAL. They need to answer if Nuezca killed for a reason or without a reason. Regardless, anybody who murders whether for a reason or without a reason is a CRIMINAL. Police officers who break the law should be treated as crooks since they aren't above the law. Nuezca should be forced to hand over his licenses, his title, and EVERYTHING and be in jail with crooks like himself. The police officers are responsible to arrest Nuezca and give him the penalty he deserves. He can no longer carry any responsibility as a police officer because he FAILED in that task. As far as concerned, Nuezca should be trusted by those who'd rather trust the criminals than the cops.
