Can You Imagine The Philippines Under The Rule Of President Trillanes?

It's really something how there's some supporters of Antonio Trillanes IV who said that he's fighting for democracy. Some even call him the as the second Ninoy Aquino which might be very fitting for him as both were blabbermouths. Now some even want him to be president but did they even consider the fact that he could be a serious threat to Philippine democracy if ever he becomes the president of the Philippines?

It's already observable how ruthless this guy is towards people he hates. The two incidents involving the Oakwood Mutiny and Manila Peninsula Siege should be a warning of how ruthless he can get. Do you remember all the phony charges he kept raising against Paolo Duterte and Mons Carpio for a start? Why do you think he would set up phony charges against both people to start with? If he can already be ruthless as a senator by setting up phony charges then just imagine what if he were the president. He would probably start a campaign by maligning certain people who would oppose him and REMOVE them without any fair trial if he were president.

He may even seize control of the legislative and judiciary through cronyism. He would probably appoint his own friends over the most credible people in various departments that are supposed to prevent anyone from gaining absolute power. He may make Gary Alejano as the Senate President and Chito Gascon as the Chief Justice for starters. In short, any complaints to the various offices meant for check and balance will be null and void. That means soldiers and policemen who will carry out his unjust policies will get away with it because he will allow them to do so.

He will probably even declare martial law and misuse it for his own ends. Chances are he would use it to jail people for the pettiest for reasons. Write something about him? Expect him to send the Magtalo troops to go to your home and wreck it up. You may end up in jail for simply calling him "ulol" or "gago". He may even start to censor TV shows that may inspire a revolution. Remember when Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. banned Voltes V? I heard it was because the show itself was plotting to overthrow the main villain. I guess anything that might inspire Filipinos to go against him will be banned. He may even force people to watch only programs that he would approve of. A possibility is that he may even force people to watch teleseryes over high quality programs.

The whole problem of making him an icon of democracy is just stupid. As much as the minority should also be listened to but is the minority supporting him worth listening to? Unfortunately, he has shown signs that he has the makings of a tyrant. Just thinking about that one should be a red signal that he's got the makings of a tyrant. Thinkers doers -- he may be calling President Rodrigo R. Duterte a tyrant right now when in fact he's got the potential to become one. Thinkers doers huh?
