Can CLUELESS Benign0 Really Prove His Outlandish Claim That GRP Is The Only One And Real Objective Blog Outlet?

I never thought I'd actually go back to HECKLING Get Real Philippines. I used to like reading the site until I found CoRRECT Philippines. Neither site is perfect but the problem is what's really laid out. Right now, a post by Benign0 has him giving this rather BOLD CLAIM I believe is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE as "It's More Fun in the Philippines":

This is why Get Real Philippines persists as the one and only real objective blog outlet on the Philippine social issues landscape. It’s because we’re not in this space to make friends or form alliances. Why are we here? We’re here to invite people to prove us wrong. And guess what: so far, nobody’s stepped up to that challenge.

I really have lost my trust in Get Ret Real Philippines for a variety of reasons. It's really a CESSPOOL of a blog. Years back, Orion actually wrote an article that addresses that Benign0 doesn't get FDI at all. Just thinking about this one makes me reflect on my old actions:

But Benign0 suddenly went out to attack that very solution I had suggested. His reason? He insinuates that Filipinos are not ready for the entry of FDI and that Filipinos must first “improve their culture” before FDI is allowed to come in.

(Did other countries in ASEAN even do that whole “everyone needs to change their culture before FDI’s come in” bit? Malaysia certainly didn’t. Indonesia didn’t. Singapore didn’t. Vietnam didn’t. Outside of ASEAN, China and India didn’t. In fact, it was the entry of FDI that changed their cultures to become more competitive!)

Apparently, he doesn’t understand how FDI works as seen in his inability to understand the difference between FDI and OFW Remittances. Worse, despite Benign0 touting himself as some kind of “Filipinos must improve their culture”-warrior, Benign0 has proven to be totally deficient when it comes to understanding what “culture change” requires.

See, it’s easy to tell Filipinos that they need to “improve their culture.” It’s easy to tell Filipinos that they’re “too spendthrift” and that “Filipinos need to learn to live within their means” or that “Filipinos need to learn how to handle money.” Those are the whining rants that have repeatedly come out of Benign0 ever since he decided to launch attacks on my attempts to complement his rants with my solution-proposals.

But Benign0 has never mentioned anything about how those culture changes he says must happen are supposed to happen. He thinks that blogging about it and simply telling Filipinos that “Filipinos are lousy at business” or “lousy at managing money” will cause Filipinos to improve their business acumen or learn to manage money better.

Benign0 seems to have forgotten that very often, the cultural inclinations of people are actually the end result of how their environment or their “eco-system” forces or induces them to act.

During the pandemic, I also wrote how Benign0's F*CKING CLUELESS about economics during the pandemic. I really laugh (and agree) at Orion's comparison of Benign0 to the other Benigno who's already died. With Benign0's actions, I really wished that Noynoy was either buried at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani or a memorial center was built in his honor at EDSA. I did comment on Benign0's article and he pointed me towards this article where he called the Philippines a huge squandered foreign investment. I guess that's why Benign0 had a falling out with Orion. Orion has his mistakes but he's focused on improving the Philippines. Benign0 seems to have more in common with the Dutertards, Yellowtards, etc. than people who advocate for badly needed reforms.

These words by Benign0 really make me wonder why in the world is he still in Australia:

The Philippines, a Third World country then as it is now, remains one such country encouraged to “open its markets”. But open up the market to foreign capital and foreign goods in a society that inherently lacks a track record of innovation and suffers a deficit of entrepreneurial inclination to begin with, and you get an addiction to all things foreign (foreign capital, foreign incomes, foreign substance) and a vision for developing an indigenous capability to create these things atrophied beyond all hope of recovery. Not all societies are created equal just as not all people are destined to be wealthy.

Whatever the case and whatever the excuses of the past, the COVID-19 pandemic and the unprecedented economic crisis it is creating brings back home a clear message. Third World countries like the Philippines need to work at becoming truly independent. Specifically, the Philippines needs to learn to sustain its population primarily through domestic production and investment. Can’t do that they say? Well that just means there are too many Filipinos than can be sustained by their domestic product. Tough luck, right?

Indeed, the enormous population of the Philippines itself is a product of foreign capital. It is sustained by imported food, imported medical technology, and imported incomes. It is sustained by money merely passing through the country and not money generated by wealth created within its shores through productivity gains brought about by innovation and its conversion into capital that is employed in producing things domestically.

Did Benign0 even get that the real problem is ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM? Not ever since the Failipino First Policy - it has caused the Philippines to become the FAILIPPINES. I'm not going to apologize for saying that. My article back then focused on the fact that Benign0 himself is still up to this premise. It's that Filipinos must first "improve their culture" before FDIs can be received. That claim itself can be shot down by the likes of the late Lee Kuan Yew. Just a simple reading of From Third World to First would show that Lee himself NEVER WAITED for Singaporeans to "become better". Ready or not - Lee opened Singapore to FDI. Just look where it happened.

Benign0's lack of credibility is that HE FOCUSES ON WHINING AND FEEDING TROLLS ON HIS OWN PERSONAL SPACE

I noticed the comments section of Get Real Philippines is toxic. There's Darth Moron the Wuss (Darth Mortis the Wise) and Jason VOORHEES (Jason) who are among a few of the many who make bad comments. Just one post back then has 800+ comments and it's a REAL WAR ZONE. Benign0 likes entertaining trolls like Darth Moron the Wuss and Jason VOORHEES. I did troll Jason VORHEES every time he said that the Empire of Marcos is a parliamentary system. I wonder if Benign0's feeding the trolls is his way of saying he's more "objective" than the CoRRECT Movement because he allows stupid comments? So far, I don't blame Orion for not receiving comments because there's so many trolls. Why entertain the trolls?

So far, Benign0 only has his still unachievable solution. The question is WHEN will Filipinos ever accept Benign0's solutions. That's what Benign0 may have NEVER ASKED while he's staying in Australia. Benign0 is even very much against constitutional reform with an air of pessimism. Oh, that reminds me of that idiot Jason VOORHEES whose outlandish claims of a parliamentary Philippines are still ongoing. I tried to point out EVERY LAST DETAIL. I guess Jason VOORHEES must be angry and he's getting his machete right now. I wouldn't be surprised if Jason VOORHEES is butchering people with a machete who will not believe the Empire of Marcos was a real parliamentary. How can Benign0 get people to vote wisely when the presidential system is so focused on popularity politics? How can Benign0 expect better politics if the system isn't changed first? Instead, Benign0 feeds the trolls than achieve solutions.

Sure, it's somewhat fun to engage a troll. However, a troll is a troll and they're too convinced with their blunder or they promote the blunder. Benign0's only adding fuel to the fire by allowing trolls like Darth Moron the Wuss and Jason VOORHEES to go uncontested. The fact Benign0 would rather entertain those idiots than come up with real solutions is something. Did Benign0 even think that he's better off coming up with a solution? I don't see anything objective with what he does. The way he even responds to the like of Darth Moron the Wuss proves his loss of credibility. 

As for Benign0, if he keeps his comments section open, I might challenge his credibility. The guy has been too focused on whining and feeding trolls. Feeding trolls with the facts is better than just feeding trolls for the sake of it. Feeding trolls with the facts is all about trying to prevent that troll from spreading disinformation. Benign0 has grown older but not wiser either. Oh yeah, I wonder what happened to a certain someone (I believe he goes by the nickname Jack Mehoff) who linked my article to his site? Hmmm.... abangan!
