I think it's time to talk about one blogger who caught my attention far worse than any in the past. He calls himself as "Aeta Tribe" -- to which he owns the blog called "Fliptards (Filipino Retards)". He got my attention because of the comments he wrote at Get Real Philippines on the post of where the website talked about having too much concern over a weak Philippine peso. Just reading his comments gave me a headache -- especially when it comes to him vs. Marius in said post.
I just thought of a couple of posts where this person who calls himself Aeta shows his loser mindset. Here's a couple of posts made by this guy which I won't include all of them -- CLICK TO ENLARGE:
First, Aeta decides to start blaming the Chinese businessmen as if all of them are involved in the oligarchy. I don't deny that many members of the oligarchy are CHINESE yet are all of them Chinese? Are all Chinese businessmen in the oligarchy? That's what Aeta is trying to insinuate, isn't he? Marius (who I assume is a Filipino) replies with some sense -- though he could have used "Filipino-Chinese" or "Tsinoy" instead of just "Chinese" because Filipinos are a result of centuries of mixed ethnicity.
As much as I don't condone to Filipino-Chinese being racist towards Filipinos (because they too, are Filipinos by law) but it's one sad fact that some Filipinos may be asking for it. The problem is that you've got the REAL problem of Filipinos who love to use their supposed ethnic identity as a license to do what they do -- such as habitual tardiness, overspending, as an excuse not to pay one's loan, to have late night karaokes (as if Filipinos invented it when it's a Japanese invention). Again, since when are such traits ever part of being a "true and manly Filipino". It doesn't -- that's because true manly Filipinos would be on time, they would try to learn to save for a rainy day, pay their debts on time and respect peace and order laws to name a few.
So now we have Aeta coming back at Marius which he may just be pretending to acknowledge that he too has a contribution to the problem. However, Aeta goes back to his idiocy of sinophobia. Is he implying that the Philippines are better off without the Filipino-Chinese because they are supposedly destroying it? He doesn't get it that Marius is showing that he isn't justifying such stupidity. Plus, isn't he the one who is balat-sibuyas or onion-skinned?
Marius gives this reply. No, I don't believe in exceptionalism for any race. Chinese who run drug cartels are just as bad as Filipinos who work as drug mules. I remembered writing an article addressing the reality that time waits for nobody -- not even Filipinos. As much as there are Chinese who are inherently immoral but I don't want to deny cheating happens in any race. I even remembered how some Filipinos who sold me fertilizer nearly conned me if I didn't show how they were selling underweight and overpriced sacks.
What Marius is addressing that there are abusive people everywhere. He also raises the issue that there's truly and really exploitation. I could agree with Aeta about selling off valuable land to greedy businessmen -- it's a practice which needs to stop. But the problem is Aeta's anti-elitism is so disgusting. Again, why is he on the Internet which is made by ELITES? Also, there's the reality that whether you like it or not -- we do need to cut down trees. The problem is overly cutting down trees and not letting forests recuperate. The same goes for Boracay that the problem isn't tourism but too much tourism. Boracay too needs to recuperate.
I think of Marius' comment on the Chinese "criminals" -- if they all went away then the Philippine economy will collapse. We can think of a number of Filipino-Chinese owned businesses that contribute much to the Philippines' business sectors. If they were closed them all down then think how much tax revenues will be lost. True, some of them deserve to be scrutinized for stuff like tax evasion while others comply with environmental policies and pay their taxes properly. If they all went away where can the Philippines get more taxes from? While there's no loss shutting down illegal foreign businesses but duly registered Filipino-Chinese businesses are major taxpayers.
I wonder did Aeta ever consider the reality that Adolf Hitler's anti-Semitic campaign was bad for the German economy? Hitler's campaign by shutting down Jewish businesses and confiscating their properties only resulted to the downfall of the German economy. If Filipinos of non-Chinese ethnicity decided to do that then think of how much revenue can be lost from duly registered Filipino-Chinese businesses. Think about how much revenue is lost if certain branches of certain businesses are shut down if Filipino-Chinese real estates are closed down. Hmmm... that would also mean no more TV stations to air those idiotic teleseryes, right?
Then I decided to check his blog and found out a lot of his idiocy. He even wrote a post where he claims that tourism isn't good for the country. He wrote this rather mind-boggling short where I have a long-wind argument with him -- please read the comments, his tears are SO delicious:
The Philippines benefits a lot from tourism" is the biggest fallacy injected into our people's mind. The only ones who benefit from tourism in the Philippines are the ones who are directly involved in this industry; and it's usually the Chinese businesses and political dynasties who own a big chunk of shopping malls, condominiums, and other commercial properties that cater to everyone. The rest of the of population has to contend or fight for the leftover from tourism revenue. And do we realize the socio-economic impact tourism has contributed to our society due to lack of government regulations (Our government officials are always waiting for bribe money from the Chinese and Korean businesses in exchange for a commercial project approval even if it's not good for the entire country)? Tourism has contributed to the degradation of our environment and economy by transforming our agricultural land--which once fed millions of our people at an affordable price--into concrete jungles of expensive real estate properties, uncontrolleable flooding and pollution, and high cost of living due to declining agricultural output. We Filipinos need to see what is really going on in our country and stop allowing ourselves to be deluded by the oligarch-controlled media propaganda that says tourism is good for our country. It's not.
I wonder what planet does this Aeta Tribe come from? Hasn't he seen how tourism is actually part of the economy. I guess he's just a sore loser because tourism hasn't improved his life one bit. True, there's such a thing as irresponsible tourism -- this guy condemns tourism in general. He's probably still jealous that tourists aren't improving his life. Instead, they are offering the Filipino-Chinese businessmen more customers during that season. Bitter much? Too much ampalaya for this person who uses the account name as Aeta Tribe?
Does he want to stop OFW program then why not support economic liberalization? The guy also has failed to see that the growing dependency is coming from this reason -- how many Filipino businesses are truly competent compared to those who aren't? He may be implying that opening up the economy will further ruin Filipino businesses in general when that's not always the case.
Does he want to know what's tramping down cottage industries? It's not just incompetence but also the oligarchy. How can cottage industries grow in an environment where there's hardly any competition? If there's hardly any competition then it results to the painful reality that we have right now -- too little choices for suppliers, service providers and not to mention BADLY NEEDED CUSTOMERS. You can think of how limited choices give very little room to improve. Cottage industries could grow if they have more customers but how can they have more customers if competition is very little?
Then he finally decided to write the post called "The Blameless Filipino" where he accuses me (and other Filipinos) of having been part of the problem and that me and them are "onion-skinned". I'm not awe-struck at everything foreign as he suggests. I appreciate anything that's good whether it's Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, American, etc. to which he still wants to enjoy his blunder.

Aeta now starts throwing some red herrings and hasty generalizations -- first by accusing Marius of inhaling the smoke he's smoking presumably from illegal Chinese. He then starts to throw the hasty generalization that the Chinese are all smuggling drugs into the country and that Marius is an "addict" -- talk about the POOR Filipino logic there huh?

And here's another nonsense he wrote about senseless Pinoy pride which is pretty much stupid:
Instead, the billions of pesos in money remittance created a population that became dependent on products and services offered by a growing number of affluent Chinese and Korean businesses and well-bribed political dynasties. This socioeconomic phenomena eventually destroyed our Filipinos-owned businesses in their respective "cottage industries," whose former owners jumped on the bandwagon of OFWs and expatriate for the growing lack of livelihood in their own country.
