Most Of The Time, It's Not The Government Agency That's The Problem But The People Who Are People Running It

I used to always have my stance to #AbolishCHR until I realized that cleaning up the agency would be the much better solution. It's really a problem in the Philippines that some Filipinos tend to bark up the wrong tree or at the wrong person. If you've got some Filipinos who keep blaming China for the drug trafficking scenario then you've got Filipinos who are blaming Commission on Human Rights instead of its chairpersons. If they want to know the real problem with CHR is not CHR itself but it's that idiot Cheato Gascon.

Why is calling for the abolition based on Gascon not the best solution? CHR is not the only office where corruption reigns. You have corruption in the Philippine National Police for several years yet no outrage was made to abolish PNP. You have corruption in the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Transportation and Communication, Department of Education and every other government office yet why don't I hear outrage to have them abolished? Why do they particularly target CHR when it's not the only defective office around? If we should abolish CHR because of Gascon then why don't I hear people wanting to abolish every other office because of the incompetent people who run it?

Do they even know the purpose of CHR and why the problem would be the people running it instead of the agency itself? CHR was created to monitor human rights violations and to serve as a research body. It would at least help the Public Attorney's Office and PNP if they all cooperated. CHR shouldn't just investigate those who were victimized by abusive cops and military personnel but all victims of crime. As a research body it should help the PNP, PAO and the judiciary system get information needed for the victims. Abusive cops and soldiers should no longer be treated as cops and soldiers but as criminals. There's no difference whether it's a cop, a soldier or whoever does the crime because they all should get whatever should be coming for them.

It's time to think about it that people need to know where to direct their rage and anger to. Unfortunately, being emotional is always the prevalent mindset of people and why many irrational decisions and conclusions come in the way. As said, if you need to get angry or to yell at someone or put your energy to good use then don't blame the government agencies. Instead, blame the people that run the government agency. It's a matter putting the right cogs into the government agencies so they'll function properly for a better Philippines.
