Would You Rather Have A 68% Increase In Firecracker Related Injuries?

This would be one of the best news for the New Year. The firecracker control policy has caused a huge drop in firecracker related casualties. This is a big start for change in the Philippines with better guidelines to follow. This is possible by banning super dangerous types of firecrackers and by allowing them only in designated areas. What's even better is that event organizers need to gather permits and state the scheduled time that the firecrackers allowed by law would be allowed.

I wonder if there are people bitching and moaning about it how they once had all that freedom to have their firecrackers. Please don't even use it that "Pinoy New Year" isn't complete without firecrackers. Filipinos may have made variants of their firecrackers but their invention was from ancient China. You can still have a Pinoy style new year without firecrackers or all the unnecessary noise by serving Pinoy style food and by not playing Filipino music too load it disturbs your neighbor's sleep. There's nothing not Filipino about getting rid of some noise pollution

Did those who were bitching about it think of the dreadful consequences of firecracker injuries? I remembered how I avoided watching the Philippine TV news every new year because of all the showcase of firecracker injuries. The dreadful showcase would be a good reason to make a law to be enforced to regulate firecracker usage.

Still think President Duterte's firecracker policy is bad?
